Day Skincare

Firstly, I'm a HUGE fan of Laneige if you don't already know. So much so, I've influenced Sis and even Drool to use them too! I have the whole range of the White Plus Renew series and have to say they work magic on my skin! Gonna share my day skincare regime today!

Step 1: Kawaii Tokyo Mist. A product not from Laneige but I absolutely swear by for day or night skincare. It not only helpes to replenish moisture in the skin but also works great as a make up finish. Many a times, when I get too lazy for my night skincare regime, I simply spray this on my face and go to bed. Got to have this, I tell you. I have at least 2 spare bottles at home, just in case! Haha.. Available at SASA. http://kawaii-tokyo.jp/product/brighten-up-junsui/index.html

Step 2: I know this is supposed to be the toner and moisturiser step and I've tried but my skin gets too oily by the end of the day. Hence, I skip those and apply the Day Cream with SPF instead. Nothing's more important than blocking the UV rays from your skin.

Step 3: They say our eyes and neck age the fastest isn't it? I strongly believe so, therefore always remember to apply all skincare up to the neck. As for the eyes, Laneige Day Eye Protector provides a good coverage during the day. With all the make up and sun on our eyes everyday, I guess we cannot miss this step to protect our eyes from blemishes and wrinkles.

After this, you're all ready to put on your make up and have a good day out! (: Drool and I are planning a trip to Korea next year and I'll definitely bring a big bag of Laneige products back!

All Laneige products are available at Metro and Isetan.

Disclaimer: Skincare works fine on me but different on others so you should always consult the ladies at the counter before you purchase the products yeah? (:

Food Blog: Tonny Restaurant

Our pre-anniversary dinner at Joo Chiat. This award winning Cantonese restaurant is famous for the dishes they have created. Their chef, Tonny Chan, a familiar face is often seen on television. Apart from that, the place is plastered with loads of pictures with celebrities and media coverage. Apologies for some of the blur pictures taken with my phone!

The 5 course set we had:

Crispy Yam with Truffle Oil
Double Boiled Shark Cartilage Soup
Deep Fried Fish fillet with Curry Sauce
Braised Fresh Abalone with Fried Rice
Lemon Jelly with Wolf Berry

We added on a plate of cold crab, to Drool's delight and it was my favourite dish of the night. We met Tonny Chan at the end and he was quite friendly!

Verdict: The restaurant, though convenient(there's a public carpark nearby, walking distance), the food was so-so I feel. Either because I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food or we did not order the dishes the restaurant is famous for.

Outfit: SWV's Acoustic Cardigan Stream Blue

Nonetheless, a good trip outta our comfort zone. We'll probably be back to try the other dishes in the menu, like the crab congee others been raving about. (:

Night.life

Every first Saturday of the month is our gathering at Double O with the usual gang. This time, we celebrated Jas's birthday as well so it was double the fun! These huge bottles of Calsberg have become our regular, 9  in total that night!

I love how we enjoy the same music, dance, screaming into each other's ears and make merry all night. Xin is away in Hainan now and I miss her already!

Jas, the birthday girl was not spared from all the liquor of course. We bought her flaming, waterfall and god knows what she had from the people at the other tables. Gross, just by the smell of them!

Her favourite boys of the night! Haha. Happy Birthday, Jas baby! I hope you'll find your Mr Right soon! Muacks!

Gosh! Drool's birthday is coming next week, I don't know how to save him!

Food Blog: Casa D'Angelo

Been on a food spree due to the number of groupons and deals we've been buying online. Apps are too convenient!

This little shop is quietly located among some blocks of flat in Aljunied. Serving Italian food, pizzas recommended! The boss handmade the delicious thin crusts that were served to us. Drool loves mushroom soup and he said Casa D'Angelo was pretty nice. (:

The ingredients on each pizza(we had 2) were generous, I must say. Not to mention the taste, mouth-watering especially since it was a rainy day when we had it. Perfect!

The other table beside us ordered the cheese cake. So tempted but we were too full by then! Generally,  the food is worth a try if you're nearby that area. Drool drove there and he found the place quite easily.

Renovation

Hello!

Just got back from Taiwan, our 3rd trip there. To conclude, going on a package tour was no easy feat! Had to wake up so early every morning, drag luggages, change hotels everyday and a time schedule to follow at every location. Can I say it was damn hectic lah!

The only thing I looked forward to was having a couple of beer, instant noddles/supper and watching the variety shows in the hotel every night. And of course, I also had a good time bonding with Drool's family. (:

Some updates from our renovation progress:

Buys from Harvey Norman:

- Refrigerator
- 2 Dvd players
- 3 46" TVs
- Rice cooker
- Flask
- Hood and HOB
- Washing machine
- Vacuum cleaner

Buys from the furniture mall at Sugei Kadut:

- mattress and bed frame
- Sofas for living and multimedia room
- dining table and cushioned benches
- rug
- coffee table
- Pole system wardrobe

Also bought sinks, taps and rain shower from Balestier. Oh yah, ordered wallpaper for the living and MBR too. And the list continues....

Got to declare.. I'm officially broke now. SOBS! Always knew that renovating the house would take up a lot of our resources. Just didn't expect it to be this much. -_-

Looks like Drool and myself gonna scrimp and save in the months to come.

Updates!

I’m back!

..from 2 tiring months of house stuff and SWV photoshoot during the weekends. Come to think about it, I hardly even have time to switch on the computer when I’m home. Of course the lazy bug does contribute a bit. Teehee.

Good news on my side, I’ve collected keys for my new place already! I’ve been Ms Fussy for the past months because I can’t seem to agree on the design. I thank Drool for compromising and giving in to me. And this week, we’ve finally x 10 confirmed everything and all set to start work! Last Saturday, Jason brought us to balestier and we bought all the lightings!

Gotten:
15 downlights
2 chandeliers for dining and MBR
2 burger lights for bomb shelter & service yard
4 spotlights for the loos
1 artsy light for the multimedia room
3 other lights for the kitchen and MJ room

Jason will go back and get the T5s when the false ceiling for cove lights is ready. Like excited or what! Come Monday, we will be going to get our furnitures, choose the homo tiles for the living room, tiles for overlaying in the loos and wallpaper! If there’s time, I hope to choose the sinks as well. Then, all the renovation can kickstart and we can begin hacking all the ugly tiles and sinks provided by HDB. Mad happy. (:

At my new place wearing SWV's crochet top coming up in the next collection! (:

Anyone misses fat bb?!

This lil rascal of mine is getting lazier and fatter each day.

She is still very spoilt and craves a lot for attention. Oh yes, and she hates the camera, a lot. Haha. LOVE her!

Random musings:

A sweet surprise from Drool when he came to pick me after work.

Smiled all the way back home. (:

Been in poor health for the past months and got referred to Mount Alvernia for a check up. Freaked me out totally and I was crying over the phone when I spoke to Mum and Drool. :(

IMG_0553

It was suggested that I do the operation soon. Minor one, not to worry. Argh, scared!

A chio phone cover I bought to pamper myself.

Definitely worth the 75 bucks I paid!

Some movies which we watched recently was Thor and the show by Donnie Yen. Not sure of the name coz the tickets foc.

at Vivo city on a tiring Tuesday. Concluded that the DY's show is not memorable at all.

and our 1st morning movie ever. We had bfast at Ya Kun and I was happy because the day seemed longer. Thor was so-so. Although his bod and Natalie Portman are worth drooling over.

Tomorrow is the time to vote. And I heard cries for a change and whatsoever alternative voice in the parliment. But I'll vote for peace and prosperity instead. As much as I do disagree with certain issues and policies in place(and honestly, my vote did sway to the other party in the beginning), we without a doubt have good and capable people leading the country.

To each his own, I've made up my mind and I believe it's a wise one. (:

A good break

Firstly, thank you for the massive support at SWV this week! We're expecting this huge supply of gorgeous pieces coming in soon and we can't wait. Also, like I've mentioned before, we're in the midst of getting something together. I certainly hope to have the chance to meet our customers very soon. Hee.

The week started off with lotsa partying with my chummies. Mj session at Xin's, drinking at Cabana and weekly gathering at Zouk.

Crazy times, love all of them!

Drool and I went for a 2d1n mini getaway with a well-deserving spa treat. 3 satisfying hours of scrub, massage and jacuzzi at a good price.

And at the same time, we counted down to our anniversary with booze by the poolside talking all night long about nothing but BBgirl. Drool made me cry so hard when he told me to be mentally prepared for the day when BB has to go. I just feel like hitting him for saying that because BB is still young and she still has many years with us. It's impossible but I pray that the day will never arrive because just typing this alone bring tears to my eyes. *hugs Abby*

Argh, hate Drool.

Although the food over there was not fantastic overall, I still enjoyed the steamboat and bbq buffet quite a bit. We whacked all the seafood available to make up for ridiculous amount we paid.

Met Jason, our ID for a 2nd discussion for our home. I'm pretty satisfied so far but I'll continue to push him further so he will do a fabulous work for our house. Ha! I've read that they gonna release the keys to my block starting 24th March! OMG like finally! Can't wait x3!!

Gonna end this Sunday post with another grumpy photo of BB.

Cute max no matter what. (: Good night!
